The New School In 2014, The New School was rated #1 by US News and World Report for Small Classes and Most International University. The New School had the highest proportion of classes with fewer than 20 students and a higher percentage of international students than any other U.S. university. The New School has over 138 degree and diploma programs and majors, more than 50 minors, and exactly 5 colleges. The New Schools alumni includes the likes of Bradley Cooper, Marc Jacobs, and Peter Berger. Founded in 1919, the campus sits in the heart of Greenwich Village (pronounced  GREN-itch not GREEN-witch).
